An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and hardworking Online Copywriter to join our .Com team on a full-time basis.

Paying close attention to detail, the Online Copywriter writes succinct, accurate and commercially-focused product descriptions, highlighting key features to engage the Harrods customer. Based at the photo studio, you will be writing up to 30 product descriptions a day across all of our luxury categories – fashion, accessories, childrenswear, home, food and more.

As a mid-level member of the team, you will act as a guardian of the .com tone of voice, so faultless spelling and grammar and a keen eye for detail are non-negotiable.

Acting as a mentor for up to three Junior Online Copywriters, you will be required to train new starters, assist with junior recruitment and act as a point of contact for the Trade team.

There may also be the opportunity to write additional copy in the form of brand page and product landing page banners.

Some weekend work and overtime may be required. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Write up to 30 product descriptions across all categories

  • Mentor up to two Junior Online Copywriters, holding 1:1s and training new starters

  • Write brand copy and banners


    Desired Skills/Experience

  • Experience in a similar role

  • Faultless spelling and grammar

  • Good eye for detail and a knowledge of fashion terminology and trends

  • Strong computer skills – experience with a CMS is essential

  • Good communication skills and team spirit
