Your Role and Responsibilities:
This position is onsite in NYC, NY.
The IBM CIO is searching for a talented Multimedia Designer to join our CIO Design team in providing IBMers with a great media experience for our internal solutions. We drive excellence in employee solutions by successfully merging business and user goals, creating solutions that deliver intuitive user interfaces that increase adoption and drive business success. In the role, you will work closely with stakeholders and other talented creative professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team to create engaging content for Global IBM user audience.

As Multimedia Designer, you will create compelling, high-quality videos for broadcast. You should be a detail-oriented, self-starter who will raise the bar for our video content. Working with project team(s), you may be expected to act as media lead on projects and direct others as needed. You will be involved in each project end to end, from storyboarding through design, animation, and delivery/broadcast. You will work closely with multimedia designers, visual designers, and motion designers to create an engaging experience for viewers and ensure a standard of excellence. This role operates in a fast-paced work environment with quick turn-arounds. The successful candidate will be a team player who enjoys working in an ever-evolving environment.

The focus of the Multimedia Designer is to:

  • Create visually appealing videos and motion graphics.
  • Broadcast live streams and have the ability to work under pressure.
  • Operate various cameras and production equipment (lights, mics, etc.).
  • Film and photograph events.
  • Create informative tutorial videos.
  • Mix audio and color correct.
  • Produce videos from concept through to finished product.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • 3+ years working professionally in media production or similar field.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design tools to aid in the creation and manipulation of assets.
  • Deep understanding of design and media practices.
  • Experience with motion design and animation.
  • Experience creating concepts, storyboarding and animatics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Portfolio and/or demo of previous work.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • 5+ years working professionally in media production or similar field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
  • Experience with animation and motion design patterns within a product UI.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and animation tools.
