ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is an opportunity to join a vibrant online performance marketing company based in Milton Keynes with a work hard, play hard mentality. They specialise in marketing UK gaming websites in the gambling sector and they are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, creative Middleweight Copywriter to join their rapidly expanding team. You’ll be reporting to the Content Manager and working within the creative team. They are looking for a conscientious self-starter who can hit the ground running. You will have a genuine passion for writing and be looking for a position where you can build on your previous experience and develop existing skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Writing commercial short and long copy to brief for digital media (website, email, SMS and social media).
  • Regularly updating the content on our sites.
  • Using the email marketing tool and Wordpress.
  • Generating ideas for new content with an aim to increase revenue.
  • Reviewing content for sign off.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Must be of graduate calibre with at least 1 year’s experience as a professional commercial copywriter within the digital media sector.
  • Must have an impeccable grasp of the English language (spelling and grammar), with excellent editing and proofreading skills, and keen attention to detail.
  • Must be at ease with selling through words and display customer-centric thinking.
  • Must be able to come up with creative concepts and write original, commercial copy for several different target audiences in tone of voice.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and provide input as required.
  • Must be a fast learner and able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Must have passion and enthusiasm for the role and the wider business.

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience of working in a heavily regulated sector with strict adherence to compliance (legal guidelines, GDPR, etc.) would be an advantage.
  • Experience of using Wordpress CMS would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of SEO and email marketing would be an advantage.
