This is a Retoucher 6 month FTC role starting from the 1st of September

What you’ll be doing… 

  • Reporting directly into a Senior Retoucher, you will be responsible for contributing to the day-to-day running of the Retouching team. This will primarily include product page enrichment of 1000+ products per day 
  • Ensuring budget, cost per product, creative quality and volumetric KPIs are adhered to 
  • Proven solid understanding of E- commerce retouching and strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop 
  • Responsible for producing top quality imagery with a consistent approach across all categories in line with ASOS edit guidelines  
  • Responsible for producing top quality CTA/focus shoot post treatments  
  • Exceptional multitasking ability with outstanding organisational skills; able to use initiative and to work in pressurised environment 
  • Develop working knowledge of colour consistency with strong knowledge of colour profiles and colour matching process 
  • Awareness of Javascript, Applescript and VBA advantageous  
  • Understanding of actions for Adobe Photoshop 
  • Contribute to automated workflow solutions to streamline team practices and processes 
  • The ability to work quickly and efficiently with a strong eye for detail and catching errors 
  • Contribute to ad hoc Retouching Team projects 
  • Reviewing your technical capabilities in Photoshop and software packages relevant to daily workflow and developing these with help of senior team 
  • Identify areas of site for improvement, through review and competitor research – presenting these findings within team meetings 
  • PC literate with working knowledge of, Outlook, Excel and digital asset management software 
  • Collaborating with the Seniors to identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency 
  • Contribute to the succession planning and upskilling of your team with your Senior and Lead 
  • Encouraging team growth and development, ensuring the team are striving to support in the delivery of the department strategy 
  • Contributing to team and departmental meetings when required 
  • Be recognised as an aspirational figure within your team and the wider department 
  • Show excellent problem-solving abilities and positive, dynamic response to change 
  • Strong communication and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workload 
  • Supporting the team in following established processes to deliver agreed creative and quality standards in line with departmental strategy 
  •    Working with the Seniors and Lead to support the training and development of new full-timers. Simultaneously help support a high-quality freelance team output with the Seniors and Lead to assist the team when volume requires 
  • Support Seniors when required with deployment of fulltime and freelance team resource to optimise the collective team skill set including support of the day to day management in response to absence 
  • Encouraging the team to be authentic, brave and creative and to follow all company and departmental strategies, leading by example 
  • Developing your leadership style and communication alongside your Seniors, in line with ASOS Behaviours policy 
  • Working closely with your Seniors, Leads and Management team to successfully deliver the department strategy. Build strong, professional and collaborative relationships with the wider studio team 
  •    Demonstrating excellent brand awareness by identifying areas for review, researching ideas and assessing competition when required to ensure we are market leaders 
  •    Support new workflow solutions to streamline departmental practices and processes 
  •    Contribute to departmental technology software and hardware launches when required  
  •    Delivering projects to support the department strategy and any other adhoc tasks defined by the Retouching Lead and Post Production Manager
