Here’s what you’ll do:

The Shopper/Commerce team is in an exciting transitional period, building a strong team to produce industry leading work within the space. We have an ever expanding list of household names as clients including Kleenex and Andrex, Nestle Cereals, Lynx, Purina, Johnnie Walker, and Pringles, as well as wider agency clients ranging from American Express to Microsoft.

We’re now on the lookout for a Mid To Senior Conceptual Copywriter who will place a key role in elevating our creative. You’ll need a challenger mindset and think in big ideas, whilst clearly articulating concepts with the precision of a poet. Whether writing short and snappy headlines and strap lines, persuasive presentations, or developing comprehensive shopper and commerce campaigns, you’ll thrive at elevating every project with exciting lateral thinking.

You may have a background in a well-known creative agency working on global promotions, in-house on an exciting brand that’s helped you flex your creativity, or BTL on a variety of strategic campaigns within the retail space.

Comfortable flying solo on a brief as teaming up with an art director or designer, you’ll be able to own a variety of projects (whether big or small) within the shopper/commerce space and take your thinking from that initial spark to final execution. You’ll also be able to adapt and sometimes get stuck into wider agency projects, always approaching every brief with the same enthusiasm to make outstanding work.

You’ll be ambitious and honest and can persuasively present and defend your ideas and their execution, unafraid to be direct with your thinking. You are able to negotiate client feedback professionally and know when it’s right to back down versus challenge.

You are able to take some creative ownership of select accounts, working into the ACD to help drive new opportunities and mentoring more junior creatives.

Here’s what you'll bring:

  • Have a strong portfolio of both conceptual commerce and/or shopper advertising campaign work, as well as persuasive copy. You have a portfolio full of interesting ideas and well-crafted work.
  • Demonstrate several examples of work that showcases how commerce/shopper creative can become an exciting and industry-leading creative work.
  • Superb communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to clients and colleagues.
  • Around 3-5 years experience working as a copywriter.
  • Experience in and able to adapt to different channels – but understand that your landing strip will be in the commerce team.
  • A POV on art direction beyond your core copy skillset.
