Requirements:

Media Manager drives media planning and works to ensure the highest level of quality work, strategic thinking, strong negotiation and collaboration with internal and external partners. The Manager, Media can drive all aspects of RFP and planning and will oversee and mentor any junior team members (Associates, Coordinators) so that they can grow in their roles. The Manager is expected to produce a complete media plan to their supervisor for review, prior to that plan being shared with the Account Lead and before it then goes to the client.

This is a fast-paced position requiring work across a variety of clients. Strong communication, organization and multi-tasking are a must. This person must not be shy about asking questions and being resourceful in finding answers. Vendor relationships are also critical here and the manager will be one of the most consistent vendor-facing people in the agency. Those relationships must be fostered well to maintain our reputation in the market and ability to provide great work and pricing for our clients.

In addition, a Manager, Media will be expected to receive training in media platforms including programmatic, social and search so that they can be a more self-sufficient and efficient media services professional. Technical aptitude with these platforms and the desire to learn and apply innovative, strategic thinking are a must.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop RFPs, the final media plan recommendation, buy summaries, and campaign measurements where necessary.
  • Manage all facets of the campaign execution by working with internal media services team members.
  • Take the lead on optimization strategies for digital placements.
  • Develop and present concise results decks highlighting the relevant learning gained and recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Be key collaborator with internal client and media teams to ensure efficient and effective workflows and communications.
  • Understand client goals and optimizing their success through research and analysis.
  • Present recommendations with fully negotiated media and cost schedules to Account Team.
  • Manage, review and analyze all client facing deliverables.
  • Negotiate rates with vendors to ensure maximum client value and performance.
  • Reconcile and actualize media spends monthly.
  • Monitor media spend pacing and performance on an ongoing basis and communicate this status at least weekly to media and account teams.
  • Make and implement optimization recommendations.
  • Ensure tactics and vendors utilized are GDPR compliant and ensure all internal processes and procedures are followed, including those specific to certain clients based on their own contractual agreements.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and identify areas of development within emerging markets.
  • Enter campaign buys into Advantage financial system and ensure all data is up to date at all times. If this can be delegated to an Associate or Coordinator, the Manager will check their work and be responsible for accuracy.
  • Provide consultative strategic direction to your accounts and identifying appropriate programs and services to meet client needs.
  • Monthly Investigation of a Publisher’s tech stack and report learnings to team during standing meeting.
  • Review pitch prior to taking on new client – ensuring consistent voice carried through to media plan, taking advantage of the newest tactics available.
  • Works closely with Media Account Associates to manage programs and administrative functions.
  • Promote positive working relationships within the department, the company and the vendor community.
  • Mentors and trains Media Account Associates.
  • Be the primary liaison between other JUST Media departments (Social, Content, Search, Analytics).
  • Deliver monthly POVs to clients highlighting vendor presentations that are particularly new or relevant.
