Join us as a L&D Specialist and you’ll help us speak to all these customers, all across the country.


Role Purpose:

Create engaging learning solutions that drive organsational capability, business results and a culture of learning.


Role Objectives:

Design and deliver learning interventions that support the objectives of the business using existing and new approaches to learning that support our many ways to learn principles.

Deliver learning and development projects to time, cost and quality. Ensure costs are budgeted and processed effectively.

Build relationships with business stakeholders to develop and maintain engaging learning solutions attending project meetings to champion the end user experience.

Follows agreed design process for all L&D requests received, to determine right fit solutions against identified performance gaps, taking into account technology, budget, timescales and end user experience.

Creates conceptual designs and use expertise to consult with key stakeholders to agree and finalise approach.

Uses a range of well-founded evidence, data and analytics to effectively evaluate the learning design enabling clear recommendations for continuous improvement.

Continually research and evaluate innovative, creative and leading edge approaches to blended learning, making recommendations for future learning resources.

* Work as an ambassador for Learning & Development supporting a culture where learning is owned and driven by individuals and supported by all people managers as a route to business growth.

Demonstrates curiosity and works collaboratively across the team and business to deliver aligned solutions.

Understands how the role contributes to the People and Business plans, seeking opportunities to reinforce business strategy, change and leadership messages into our development solutions to improve results.

Implements communication plan which drives the L&D brand across the business.

Knowledge/skills required.

Knowledge and experience in designing learning interventions.

Good project management and organisational skills.

Good collaboration skills, and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience of working in a fast paced retail environment.

An innovative, creative and self-motivated approach.

Business aware, highly commercial and retail focused.

Good communicator, both verbally and in writing.

A resilient self-starter, able to work under pressure and manage volume.

Passionate about learning for colleagues and self.

Proficient in MS Office suite and 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Yammer etc), Adobe Indesign and rapid authoring tools.

Communication and working relations.

TOES teams inc. Learning & Development, Resourcing, Reward, Talent and Diversity Partners.

Retail and SSO HR business partnering teams.

* Business stakeholders.

* End users.

External relationships:

Relevant business forums and networks.

Consultants and Partners in development.

* External vendors and suppliers.
