Reporting of the Role: This role reports to Head of Post Production.

Overview of job:

As Junior Shooter/Editor & Vision Mixer you will be working on a wide variety of content for Globals various brands. These include Capital, Capital Xtra, Heart, LBC, Radio X & Classic FM!

You’ll be working from our offices in the heart of Leicester square, editing and shooting content for all our brands and recording interviews from our radio studios and green screen studio.

You will join a highly skilled team of shooter/editors, graphic designers and producers. Good knowledge of Adobe Premiere is required and there will be plenty of opportunities to get hands-on with cameras.

A successful candidate will be hard-working and eager to learn and quick at adapting to the needs of the video department. You’ll be proud to show off your work and have a keen eye for detail.

• You’ll quickly advance your skills in editing, shooting and vision mixing

Measures of success –  In the first few months, you would have:

• Trained to work in the VCR and green screen studio and learnt how to shoot using in-house cameras and kit

• Vision mix studio interviews and content from our radio studios

• Trained on our department servers, ingest and archive systems

• Be able to shoot and edit content for brands

Responsibilities of the role:

• Help coordinate and maintain the in-house kit and kit room

• Help manage our edit servers and archive system

• Be able to edit speedily and to a high standard

• Vision Mix interviews and content from radio studios

• Film and edit content from our green screen studio

What you will need:
The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:

• A proven understanding of Premiere Pro is required. Knowledge of creative cloud apps would be an advantage

• Knowledge of cameras and filming

• Enjoy the technical aspects of editing and the filming process. Enjoy learning about cameras and its associated kit

• Be a great communicator, friendly and professional

• Be excited by new trends and new techniques, willing to challenge yourself and be hungry to develop and grow

• Be willing, on occasions, to work antisocial hours and weekends
