Junior Frontend Developer

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Junior Frontend Developer to work on some of the bestknown
brands in the UK soft drinks industry. As a key member of the in-house creative team you will
support our portfolio of brands and deliver best-in-class code to help bring our digital designs and activations
to life. This is an excellent opportunity to level up your skills and support the business in developing
our core platforms and substantially grow your portfolio of work.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years experience working either in-house or at an agency.
This will be demonstrable via a portfolio of work that showcases your development skills.
Key Responsibilities, scope for decision making, KPI’s
• Ensuring coding standards are maintained as defined by the senior development team
• Contributing to the development of modular, reusable frameworks that can be rolled out
across multiple brand and internal platforms
• Testing all web pages, emails and forms to ensure all code works consistently across the target
platforms prior to launch
• Delivering all projects within tight deadlines, managing new priority projects as they come in
Primary Interactions
• Reporting directly to the Technology and Development Manager, as well as providing day to
day support for our Lead Developers, Digital Designers and External Development Team(s)
• Working with our brand teams and other internal functions to ensure updates and changes to
apps, websites and emails are delivered on time
• Attending planning and development meetings with external design and development agencies
Qualifications and Professional Experience
Required
• Educated to degree level (or equivalent training) with at least 1-2 years working in-house or at
an agency
• Strong HTML / CSS skills inline with latest specifications
• Competency in fundamental object oriented/functional JavaScript
• Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, Vue, React or similar
• Knowledge of Node/NPM, Webpack, Gulp or similar
• Knowledge of web animation with standard CSS or libraries such as Greensock, Pixi or similar
• Responsive web/email design and development
• Understanding usability principles and interaction design (UI/UX)
• Familiarity of working and developing for content management systems
• Creative thinker
• Good communication skills
• Ability to manage your own time across a number of projects
Desirable
• Experience designing and building mobile applications
• Modular and extensible CSS using BEM or Atomic principles
• Design - Familiarity and/or experience creating:
• Wireframes for UI/UX
• Interactive prototypes using tools such as Invision
• Experience working in sprints and leveraging SCRUM/agile methodologies
