Junior Web Designer - eCommerce - Global Retailer | Adobe Creative Suite - Web & Mobile.
Watford | Up to £26,832 DOE + Excellent Benefit Package.


The Role:
Working within a fast paced eCommerce environment, you will help create a consistent look and feel across all platforms with a focus on mobile-first design, designing product images, responsive design, landing pages and other design related tasks. Reporting to the Lead Web Designer and Web Manager you will be working closely with the e-Commerce team to deliver high quality work that meets the brand guidelines. You will be pro-active and uphold a professional approach to time and commercial deadlines.

The role demands a high level of creative flair, a keen eye for detail, and up-to-date knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite to help produce compelling and exciting designs to increase conversion and customer engagement.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
+ Create, retouch, manipulate and optimise product images for our transactional website.
+ Design, optimise and code online banners, category pages and landing pages and other web design related tasks.
+ Ensure all creative content is delivered within the business deadlines.
+ Design and develop from initial brief concept to final visual output.
+ Ability to take on creative direction and feedback.
+ Organise and manage the web assets, photo library and creative archive.
+ Assist in the design and coding of email campaigns.

Required Skills, Abilities, and Certifications:
+ 2+ years commercial web design experience or a degree in web design or related industry.
+ Proficient in Adobe CC especially Photoshop and Dreamweaver.
+ Proficient in HTML/CSS.
+ A good balance of creativity as well as a technical understanding.
+ Good attention to detail and a pro-active nature - Mac skills would be an advantage.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Content Management System (CMS) knowledge.

Experience:
+ 2+ years commercial web design experience or a degree in web design or related industry.
+ An excellent online portfolio is a must.
