Hey fellow creatives! This job posting might be a little off convention, but so will the company you might be working with soon! RB [shortform for the company; still new, young and under wraps] needs your jewelry design skills to design the heck out of precious metals.

Imagine the year is 1920, not 2020. A little known guy called Guccio Gucci started a brand that would soon go on to dominate the global fashion industry. People who joined him then didn't know they were in for the best ride of their lives.

Now, imagine if there was another brand a 100 years later, just starting out, with the potential to be the next generation of consumers' Gucci. Wouldn't you want to join them? That's us, come on and join in!

At RB, we aim to create accessories and wearables that will resonate with the current and next generation of consumers all around the world. And to do that, we need your skills.

We don't care if you have a formal education in design, all we care is you have the curiosity to learn and experiment, the persevererence to not give up, and the skills to bring ideas to reality to make an impact for our customers.

Since the brand is just getting a start, you could have the opportunity of your lifetime to establish yourself as a designer by leading design work, establishing a design language, experimenting with different designs, materials and techniques, and curating collections.

Since it's being helmed by another [non jewelry] designer, you won't have the usual problems of trying to explain abstract concepts to a non designer... We've all been there and it ain't fun... Also, no treating you like a design generating algorithm where you need to make a min of XY designs a day; nope none of that.

Working could be remote or on site, we can decide on that when we talk.

It is preferable to have these skills too:

  •  Prototyping designs quickly.
  • CAD skills [Rhino, ZBrush etc].
  • Prior professional jewelry design experience.

We definitely want to see these:

  • Portfolio of designs. The look of the portfolio doesn't matter much. It's your jewelry design skills that matter!
  • Examples of pieces you designed and have been manufactured either for prototyping or for sale in the market.

Don't miss this oppportunity to join a potential rocket ship! Changing our future is in our hands so let's aim for the stars.

Cheers!
