Graphic Designer
This job listing has expired JobWe are looking for the right candidate to join our design team. This candidate will be responsible for design execution for all in-house creative projects including collateral, advertisements, tradeshow graphics, sales support materials, Powerpoint presentations and other ad hoc projects. Other responsibilities include print production work (e.g. file preparation; file organization and archiving). The ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A strong emphasis will be placed on solid file management, version control and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Job Function:
Responsible for assisting with design of in-house projects from inception to production. Must be able to work with and receive direction from senior designers/copywriters. Serve as a global “brand champion” to ensure proper use of corporate brand guidelines & templates.

Responsible for print production aspect of creative including tradeshow and event graphics, ad resizing, file organization and library upkeep.

Help to manage and archive assets on internal website - BrandSpace.

Assist with communication between print vendor and MarComm regarding file preparation and management.

Serves as backup for other personnel in department, handling requests and troubleshooting problem situations. May be called upon to train or assist other personnel in department.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be detail-oriented, able to manage time with multiple projects with fast turnaround.
- Must be able to apply the Smith & Nephew style guide creatively while upholding the overall brand identity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Very strong communicator with exceptional organization skills.
- Must be able to take projects from concept, through design and revisions, to final production.
- Must be able to design independently using templates and toolkits.
- A strong understanding of working within Indesign styles and Creative Cloud libraries.
EDUCATION:"or equivalent" (at end of this field):
B.S., B.A. or BFA in Graphic Design and Advertising or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years in related position, candidate must be proficient in the following applications:
InDesign.
Acrobat.
Illustrator.
Photoshop.
Bridge.
POWERPOINT.
Microsoft Word.
Microsoft Excel.
A working knowledge of the following a plus:HTML.
CSS.
Flash.
