TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video. Our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. The Creative Lab is TikTok’s in-house creative service, dedicated to producing best in class work on the platform throughout Europe. Based in London, the Creative Lab will help and inspire brands and agencies to push creativity and partnerships on the platform.

We are looking for an agile Graphic Designer to embed Creative Lab’s principles for best practice in campaigns for a white list of leading global brands. Creating channel style guides and design frameworks to proactive pitches and responsive briefs, agency collaborations and in-house execution, you’ll partner with strategists, creatives and producers to bring out the best of TikTok’s formats, creators and culture for a hand-picked list of leader brands.

The ideal candidate is an industry established creative thinker, proficient in a broad range of programmes with strong visual design and typography skills.
You’ll be able to distill key decisions and discussions and translate them into compelling visual messages and demonstrate a passion for the audience experience, as well as knowledge of how to leverage design to achieve communication goals. And you’ll have social media running through your veins.
This is a unique opportunity to define the way brands show up in the world’s fastest growing digital channel as we build the Creative Lab team from scratch.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with creatives, creators, and business partners, to bring stories and concepts to life. Conceptualize, create storyboards and design using different styles and approaches for deliverables as needed.

Develop creative work that strongly resonates with a range of audiences while maintaining consistency for our clients’ brands.

Define best practice for visual language and continue to hone in on brand systems to create a style that becomes iconic and scales for growth throughout Europe.

Sketch, ideate, and generate new concepts quickly based on stakeholder direction and self-driven research..

Work cross-functionally, balancing the needs of stakeholders and breaking down complex briefs into simple, compelling ideas and highly-engaging, world-class design.
 

Qualifications:

Requirements:
4-6 years as a Graphic Designer in an agency environment.

Experience with industry standard design tools - Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, After Effects & Illustrator).

An impressive portfolio with work across various mediums - visual design, 3D, illustration, typography, print &/or digital.

Design & layout skills including composition, colour, photography & typography.

Excellent written and visual communication skills.

Impeccable attention to detail.

Comfortable guiding freelancers, agencies, and production partners, but should be willing to roll up their sleeves to do the work.

Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
