Critical Incidents:
The role requires effective interaction with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and an understanding of Stanley Black and Decker operations and communication development process. You will be responsible with sponsorship partners, external agencies, freelancers, and business unit brand managers in providing creative direction and production leadership and support for marketing collateral, including but not limited to video and photography.

This role serves as a shared resource across the enterprise, providing subject matter expertise in the creative arts and services space. To be successful in this role, you should be able to turn creative ideas into effective storytelling campaigns with a global perspective. It is a job that require a “can do” attitude and that the person goes beyond what is expected.

Purpose of Position:
Tasked with overseeing and managing the conceptualization and production of films supporting the initiatives and objectives of the Corporate Brand marketing Team. Plays a key role in establishing content strategy by developing most effective, and creative, formats for communicating and sharing company and brand stories. Additionally, will provide similar support to Stanley Black & Decker’s Global Tools & Storage, Stanley Security, Stanley Infrastructure, Stanley Engineered Fastening, and Stanley Oil & Gas business units when needed to drive margin resiliency, sales, and cost efficiency across the enterprise.
Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project goals are aligned with project deliverables, providing creative ways to deliver brand and campaign messages that are equally compelling and inspiring while staying true to the authenticity of the brand.
On occasion, it will be required to directly handle all aspects of production (setting up and breaking down equipment, striking sets, running cameras, running audio recording equipment, establishing lighting setup). Furthermore, the role will require photography support where needed on a project by project basis.
Conducts business with a specific focus on delivering desired assets at little to no cost to the business. Works to establish most efficient, cost effective solutions, leveraging in-house resources as well as partners like Upwork and select production/marketing agencies.
Manages inventory of in-house production equipment: cameras, rigs, lighting, audio, lenses, camera accessories and support, etc.Stanley Black and Decker represents one of the most dynamic and diversified organisations in its space. Our consumer, user and customer sits at the center of all we do.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have experience with pre-production, production, and post-production, with a strong understanding of requirements for each stage of the production process. This requires a proficiency in scriptwriting, storyboarding, filming and photographing with different camera systems in a variety of both controlled and uncontrolled environments, as well as the ability to quickly and efficiently deliver final cuts independently (i.e. singlehandedly own the edit, sound mixing and design, color grading).
  • Demonstrates ability to identify strategic vision and coauthor roadmap guiding brand toward effective marketing deliverables.
  • Skilled interviewer with ability to connect with anyone, empowering them to feel comfortable to share their story.
  • Skilled storyteller and communicator with ability to understand detailed concepts and translate them into a concise, direct, compelling message that anyone can connect with. This will also require person to have a strong understanding of compelling storytelling techniques that help to bring the values of Stanley Black Decker’s portfolio of world-renowned brands and sponsorship partnerships to life for a global audience.
  • Creative and resourceful - ability to remain creative under tight deadlines, with limited resources.
  • Ability to shoot on multiple different camera systems and remain up-to-date on the latest technology and techniques.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Audition, InDesign).
  • Fully manage the brand logos and brand identity and approval of materials to be on image.
  • Brief work as well to freelancer and project manage.
  • Manage a Global Graphic designer.

Education & Experience: 

6-7 years of pre-production, production, and post-production

  • PC skills required – Word, Excel, e-Mail and Internet. Others that are required and training given are Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
