Freelance UX/UI Designer - Global Consultancy
Freelance UX/UI Designer - Global Consultancy - London - £380-400 p/day.
This Global digital transformation consultancy are looking for two Hybrid UX/UI visual designers to work on a large banking client for between 3-6 months.
As part of this major digital transformation process, the designers will define, plan, execute and deliver actionable designs and documentation with a focus on frameworks, consistency, and reusability.
As an experienced UX/UI Designer, you will plan, run and lead design streams, UX workshops, and discovery sessions. Participate in persona creation and user journeys etc. You will participate in the discovery of customer needs, identifying common touchpoints, removing pinpoints and reducing friction.
You will present solutions to stakeholders to help create a deep understanding of the customer and process within the business and help create a culture of user-centric design.
End-to-end experience of all aspects of UX and Design from ideation and concept creation to development ready designs.
Experienced working in Agile environment, feeding design input in to the development process within sprints. Ideally, with a proven track record of implementing UX process within Agile environment with quick and iterative methods.
Work closely with other designers, developers, business analysts, product owners, product managers and other team members who are as passionate about their work as you are to ensure design solutions have a significant contribution to the delivery of the service.
Communicating and disseminating designs, tradeoff rationale, and documentation outputs in engaging ways. Appealing to different types of stakeholders, building rapport and value with client through communication and engagement is a must.
Possess experience/knowledge of a range of UX and design methods and deliverables (e.g. Wire-framing/Prototyping, UX/UI Design).
Strong interpersonal skills, and open to giving and receiving constructive feedback to learn and further develop yourself as a UX professional.
Have a natural aptitude for technology and innovation, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and troubleshoot them independently.
Understanding of Design Principles and Digital Service Standards and its application to internal products and services.
Ability to paper prototype, sketching within the ideation process to communicate fulfilment of business/user goals within a UI to initiate co-creation stream.
- 6+ years of experience in Digital Design.
- Experience designing considered user interfaces for digital products and services.
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Keynote, Microsoft Office.
- Deep understanding of typography, colour, layout and motion design principles, patterns, style guides and frameworks.
- Bring ideas to life in industry standard tools: Invision or Principle.
- Strong domain knowledge of different digital platforms (iOS/Android, Windows/Mac).
- Comfortable working within a fast paced, creative, and rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to meet and exceed expectations under tight time lines.
- Strong knowledge of UX methodologies is a must.
