This is an opening for an experienced Digital Director to join a vibrant and expanding agency as they enter an exciting phase of growth and change! This agency is situated in a beautiful, rural country setting with accessible motor way links and they’ve recently won some larger accounts and are in need of a Digital Director to lead from the front for all projects at a technical level.  This agency boasts a wide array of clients, ranging from equestrian to education and financial services to house building and community services.

This agency is big enough to win some major lucrative accounts but small enough for the staff to know how you take your tea! They are indeed a personable, friendly and down to earth agency with big plans and if you want to be a part of their vision please read on!

The role

In this fast paced and exciting role you will be the strategic lead and contact for clients on digital projects and the agency’s main point of contact at a senior level for all digital matters.  You will be expected to understand the ‘bigger picture’ and work alongside other department heads and digital specialists to develop strong strategies and work that exceeds client expectations.


You will successfully manage a team of twelve people (this will grow) and nurture their professional growth.  You will work seamlessly alongside the Head of Digital Marketing to ensure projects are delivered to the highest possible standard and you will negotiate client fees, run your own profit and loss and deliver against agreed targets, to manage margins and increase profitability.

This role also a has a strong new business element ; where you will work actively with the Business Development Director and be responsible for new business growth for the digital department.  Alongside this you will develop and participate in pitches and drive insights in terms of client sector and business, new technologies and digital best practice. 

What we’re looing for

You will have a minimum of 6 year’s experience within an integrated/digital agency environment and have extensive experience managing large digital/social or integrated campaigns.

Additionally you will have strong client relationship skills and be able to develop a deep understanding of their business needs.  You will need to have a proven track record of building strategies and working closely with other heads of departments and specialists,  you will have excellent financial skills and be used to negotiating client fees and utilising team members in the most efficient and profitable way.  As a person, you will have gravitas and be able to inspire and motivate your team and lead from the front with experience of looking after and developing teams.

In return you will receive a competitive remuneration package - £50,000 DOE.
