At Moody’s Analytics Know Your Customer (KYC) / Know Your Supplier (KYS), we solve problems that matter. We are a cross-functional team of sales and marketing, technology and product professionals who are all passionate about preventing criminal infiltration of the world’s financial system and bringing transparency to global supply chains by detecting fraud, terrorism, human trafficking, and other criminal threats.

Role/Responsibilities:

You will be part of a cross-functional group responsible for developing and executing on a vision for how to grow the KYC/KYS business monumentally through new product innovation. We practice an Agile, highly customer focused, and learning-based approach to product development that aims to bring new products to market in 9-12 months.
You will be responsible for ensuring that what is built aligns with user expectations and is both visually appealing and highly intuitive. You are comfortable leading and developing a User Experience team by hiring, managing, mentoring and coaching a mix of designers and writers while setting the direction as the team leader.

Specifically, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with product strategists, technologists, and researchers to propose, plan, and conduct user research activities.
  • Perform user-centered design tasks such as user interviews, site maps, user journey maps, scenario maps, persona creation, wireframes and user documentation.
  • Identify, explain, and make recommendations about the tradeoffs to be considered in different approaches to projects within a problem space or project.
  • Simplify and unify complex information into intuitive interactions, flows, charts, graphs and other forms of visual representation.
  • Represent the user’s interests: ensure needs are met, usability and accessibility best practices and guidelines are followed.
  • Architect the user experience to build features that work with the broader system at scale.
  • Build prototypes of the appropriate level of fidelity for both internal discussion and external evaluation.
  • Design user journeys and UIs that follow the team’s design principles, using the design system.
  • Create detailed specifications of interactions and visual design to communicate with developers.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of experience working in the UX/UI design field within a fast-paced software development environment.
  • Expertise in the design, production and presentation of user interface designs that support the needs of the customer.
  • Extensive experience applying user-centered design processes and methodologies.
  • Strong experience with industry-recognized UX tools, technologies and best practices.
  • Hands on experience designing web and mobile user interfaces in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting.
  • Ability to articulate the value of a design choice to non-designer stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with ability to work efficiently with a solid sense for setting priorities.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and influencing skills.
  • Advocate for user-centered design solutions.
  • Passionate about problem solving through design.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $ [131,500] to $ [218,600], depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
