Director, UX Design

The Enterprise Digital Membership Experience team are looking for a Director of UX Design to join and develop and maintain a database of our content and experiences that scales to our various customer segments across markets and product types. The Director will define where new and emerging experiences should live within our experience architecture. By collaborating with Product, Data, and CX Insights partners, the Director will develop a robust understanding of our customer segments, their needs, and their behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage data and insights to develop a long-term vision of our customer experience and validate it against customer expectations
- Consult with product design groups on new features and functionality to identify overlaps and opportunities across the customer journey
- Partner with Product and Capabilities teams to inform data architecture decisions that align to our IA vision
- Partner with channel teams to ensure an omni-channel approach to IA
- Effectively promote our vision to key partners across the company as well as the broader Product and Design team through engaging storytelling
- Lead a small specialized team of system design and creative director to transform and codify our vision into our broader design team's tools and processes
- Ensure phased progress towards vision by consulting with product squads and identifying interdependent workstreams
- Scale the adoption of IA and System Design across the enterprise

Required Experience & Skills:
- 8+ years design experience / 5+ of which should be in web technologies
- Proven track record of delivering successful innovation within complex systems
- Ability to clearly communicate to business partners, agencies, and external stakeholders how design delivers on user and business goals
- Clear understanding of both qualitative and quantitative metric-driven results
- Clear understanding of the existing and future capabilities as well as limitations of HTML, CSS and JavaScript (knowledge of JS frameworks like React is a huge plus)
- Exceptional skills in design systems, content strategy and narrative design
- Significant experience shifting legacy workflows towards agile values using lean methodologies and integrating design into the product workflows
- Ability to learn quickly and provide design leadership in a dynamic and matrixed environment
