We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

Informa is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist, responsible for supporting digital excellence for demand generation and user paid initiatives including events, digital subscriptions and lead generating content marketing programs. The role includes an emphasis on spearheading SEM/SEO, user analysis, conversion tracking and the execution of strategic initiatives to help increase segmentation capabilities to support campaign success.

The role will also include monitoring performance metrics and allocating database resources for achieving optimum campaign performance. A qualified candidate will have experience with SEO/SEM tactics as well as hands-on experience with marketing automation tools.

Additionally, the Digital Marketing Specialist will take direction from the marketing team, be willing to address standard and ad-hoc reporting needs and interact with the business leaders, events teams and centralized groups.

Role Accountability and Duties:

  • Work with marketing to refine strategies to drive net new users and renewals for digital and in-person events
  • Identify efficiencies across the portfolio to synergize user-marketing initiatives (events, subscriptions, lead gen)
  • Develop reports with direction from marketing team to showcase customer lifecycle and customer lifetime value trends
  • Explore, model, mine, and experiment with data and analytics to answer critical business issues
  • Develop knowledge of our core product offerings and how they perform against our database as well as developing and maintaining a knowledge of core topics to accurately project performance
  • Work with marketing to develop an ongoing strategy to drive net new users and renewals
  • Identify efficiencies across the portfolio to synergize user-marketing initiatives (events, subscriptions, lead gen)
  • Work with IT Department and appropriate resources to modify additional technical needs.
  • Support data quality. Troubleshoot errors within workflows or program code. Work to put checks into place to prevent common errors from occurring.
  • Day-to-day management of ad campaigns on various platforms (set-up, testing, troubleshooting)

Qualifications:

What you bring to the team:

  • BA or equivalent in Marketing, Statistics or other business-related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a digital marketing role
  • High Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to analyze and communicate findings in technical and non-technical terms
  • Strong interest in the analytical side of marketing as it relates to response rates, database segmentation and overall campaign strategy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Extremely reliable and a team player
  • Must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of marketing automation software; Eloqua preferred
  • Willingness to travel 4-6 times a year
