We manage all social and display media for Sainsbury’s Food, Sainsbury’s Home, Tu Clothing, Argos and Argos ROI.

As our Digital Marketing Planner you will play a lead role in reporting and measurement, governance and innovation. Our mission is to deliver a social media ecosystem with the best of breed technology, data, targeting, strategy and performance. At Sainsbury’s we believe in delivering superior media efficacy, complete transparency, and industry leading innovation with the customer at the heart of our campaigns.
Key to this role is the ownership of Social Media reporting and measurement, driving platform innovations and supporting the Social Media Manager in the development of a robust test and learn framework across all brands. This will manifest as day to day management of reporting and measurement, benchmarks, governance, crisis management and a robust cross-brand test and learn strategy across brands.
To be clear this role isn’t a typically fluffy social media exec role. We are after a social media expert with deep understanding and experience in the channel and a track record of results, including strategic, operational and performance frameworks for each platform. The ideal candidate is uncompromisingly data-driven, highly detail oriented, a creative problem solver, and a self-starter who is excited to work in a high velocity and innovative industry.
You must understand the technical workings of social media and be able to stand toe-to-toe with agencies and platforms to make decisions. Strong data literacy with understanding of how data flows across and through internal and external systems, to bring our digital advertising to life as well as advanced data manipulation experience through Excel and BI tools is a must.
