Epigeum publish online courses that are used by universities across the world. Our in house designers work on producing each course, ensuring the highest quality user experience and visual design. This role is to design our digital products, working as part of the development team.

 

RESPONSILITIES

  • Designing our digital products. This includes course screens, interactive objects and the assets used in the courses
  • Working from the design briefs provided by our editorial team to create digital products
  • Ensuring a consistent design across our course catalogue, website and marketing materials
  • Being proactive in suggesting how our products can be better designed
  • Actively keeping abreast design trends to ensure our products and marketing are designed to the highest possible standard
  • Working with our production team consisting of developers, video producers and other digital designers to ensure the highest quality design is applied to our courses

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Personal:

  • Creative
  • Degree educated
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask across a number of projects and deliver to tight deadlines
  • CSS and Sass – this role requires someone who can work with CSS to style interactive objects that have been built by our developers
  • A portfolio of web design projects

 

SKILLS

Essential:

Internal:

  • Reports to Head of Technology, Production and Operations
  • Digital Operations Manager – responsible for the course delivery platform
  • Production team – the developers, designers and video production staff who build our courses
  • Publishing – the team who will be briefing new projects
  • Editorial – the team who will be providing the content to build our courses

 

External:

  • Freelance designers and agencies
