We are looking for a Design Director to help define the visual language of TikTok, lead a team of agile, hybrid designers and embed Creative Lab’s principles for best practice in campaigns for a white list of leading global brands.

From channel style guides and design frameworks to proactive pitches and responsive briefs, agency collaborations and in-house execution, the Design Director will articulate Creative Lab’s ambitious vision for branded content on TikTok through graphic design, typography, photography, illustration, layouts & grids, color strategy, 3D, motion, and spatial and experiential design.

The ideal candidate is an industry established, highly regarded, award winning Design Director, with major agency experience and an intuitive understanding of digital content and the culture that surrounds it.
 

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment and be comfortable guiding teams, freelances, agencies, and production partners. You will be a builder, willing to roll up your sleeves to do the work.

Responsibilities Oversee the design direction and execution of brand design strategy.
Lead and inspire your peers with excellent design skills and taste in graphic design, typography, photography, illustration, layouts & grids, color strategy, 3D, motion, and spatial and experiential design

Manage development of executions that strongly resonate with a range of audiences while maintaining consistency for our clients’ brands.
Define best practice for visual language and continue to hone in on brand systems to create a style that becomes iconic and scales for growth throughout Europe.
Sketch, ideate, and generate new concepts quickly based on stakeholder direction and self-driven research - and get your hands dirty where needed.
Work cross-functionally, balancing the needs of stakeholders and breaking down complex briefs into simple, compelling ideas and highly-engaging, world-class design Inspire and enable a team of world-class designers, freelancers, and agency partners.
 

Qualifications:

Requirements 8+ years as a Design Director in an agency environment.
An award-winning background in design & creative direction (brand agency or in-house brand design team) with a strong, focused experience in Graphic Design, Brand Identities, and Marketing across a range of sectors. Social media native with an expert understanding of the wider digital communications landscape.

Ability to work with and direct junior team members ensuring they are clear on the expectation of their role / specific task.

Comfortable guiding freelancers, agencies, and production partners, but should be willing to roll up their sleeves to do the work. Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
