RCA Records UK is looking for a progressive Creative Director to effectively and creatively manage all aspects of marketing campaigns for our incredible stable of artists. You will have space to be inventive and work alongside A&R and the Marketing team to articulate artist positioning and identify short- and long-term campaign objectives. Closely working with the internal team, Artist Management, other Sony Music departments, and external agencies, we are looking for an individual who can culturally lead and understand the evolving music marketing trends.

We are looking for a passionate and proven creative leader to join the RCA family. You’ll be responsible for commissioning and creating highly engaging pieces of content across multiple platforms.

The RCA Label Group UK is a flagship record label that is part of Sony Music Entertainment. Encompassing RCA Records and Since 93. The company has existed since 1919 and pioneered the first-ever 45rpm record. RCA has a history littered with legendary artists from Elvis Presley and David Bowie to Diana Ross, Nina Simone, Iggy Pop and Lou Reed. Today UK artists on the label include Little Mix, Bring Me The Horizon, Jake Bugg, Paloma Faith, and Tems, joining US superstars such as, Beyonce, Lil Nas X, P!nk, Travis Scott Miley Cyrus and MORE!

Creative Strategy: You will work on both established and developing artists, collaborating with other teams to articulate and direct an artist’s image, including styling, photoshoots and videos. You will oversee and coordinate content development, commissioning creative assets, and all visuals relating to the campaign.

  • Concepting and delivering heavy-hitting content ideas that speak to an artist DNA.
  • Commissioning short and long-form content which includes and is not limited to: personality pieces for artist social channels, music videos, live music/tour content, content series, animations, visualisers, lyrical content, interviews, and teasers.
  • Leading artist-specific content days from briefing to delivery with support and collaboration from the marketing and audience teams.
  • Practical creative experience such as (but not limited to): videography/filming and, editing/photography/animation/design would be an advantage.
  • Liaising with production companies and social content creators you're excited by.
  • Having a diverse network of impactful creators that you're excited to align with our artists.
  • Always striving to push creative boundaries.

What you'll do:

  • You will work with the Digital and Audience Development Managers to develop and execute content ideas that fit and strengthen the marketing campaign.
  • You will work with external creative and media agencies for media plans across platforms.
  • You will be responsible for campaign budgets, allocation of spend, and monitoring of expenditure. You will work with the finance team to plan and forecast during the budgeting process.
  • Pre and post-campaign analysis, utilizing the data tools that are available at Sony Music. Be naturally curious and work with the analytics and insight team to better understand audiences and continue to expand our artist’s fan bases.
  • Be familiar and up to date with contemporary music trends across a range of genres.
  • Be informed and curious about technological advancements in the wider media landscape and be creative about how these could be applied to your campaigns.
  • Be immersed in social media and the various ways people use these platforms to increase their audience and reach, both within music and the wider culture.

Who you are:

  • Creative and show an innovative approach to campaign ideation and execution.
  • Have deep knowledge of the digital landscape including but not limited to content planning, social platforms, gaming and any other avenues we can leverage for artist success.
  • Have experience managing budgets, allocating spend and monitoring expenditure.
  • You will have a good understanding of the varied RCA roster (both international and domestic).
  • Show how versatile and be able to work across different genres and simultaneous campaigns.
