Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Creative Copywriter to join our journey and tell the future stories with us. The Creative Copywriter is responsible for creating engaging advertising copy for our clients that help them achieve their business goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating great creative writing and ideas. They will have a unique characteristic of writing across various digital and traditional media and will constantly stay on top of the newest trends in both. They thrive in a small business environment and enjoy taking on new challenges. They work well under minimal supervision and their teamwork style is collaborative and participative. Sound like you? What You Would Be Doing

  • Write and edit creative advertising copy for use across various traditional and digital media applications

  • Work with the creative team environment based on the creative/client brief

  • Able to interview information sources and develop copy from interviews

  • Mentor junior copywriters

  • Working with creative partner, the Art Director, to execute creative concepts

  • Participating in and bringing fresh, new ideas to the brainstorming sessions with the creative team

  • Keeping up with the digital trends to ensure our clients’ social media efforts are always cutting-edge


What You Need to Have

  • Previous agency experience

  • 7+ years of copywriting experience, some while working  in an advertising agency setting

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Advertising, Creative Writing, or related field

  • Post-secondary training in Journalism, Advertising, Creative Writing in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree

  • Passion and knack for great ideas and expressing them in your copy

  • Experience working with a creative partner

  • Proficiency with Mac (and PC occasionally)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Gmail, and Google Docs, Pages etc

  • Ability to tell a story in an engaging way

  • Ability to master and switch between different brand voices

  • Ability to delegate and make decision on self-executing or following up

  • Excellent writing skills and a great attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Self-motivated, ability to deal with ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and meet daily deadlines

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Above average problem-solving skills

  • A collaborative, participative team working style

  • Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills

  • A quick learner and willing to improve performance based on received feedback

  • Experience with project planning software such as Asana and Harvest
