Are you looking to kick start your career within the wonderful world of creative and have a good understanding of editing?

What will you be doing?

In this role you will be supporting our busy creative team in the production of creative content within the department at all stages in the process, from pitching to delivery. This role would be perfect for someone who is looking to get into a creative role and learn off the tricks of the trade from experienced creatives.

  • Oversee the shared drive, managing data and archiving when needed.
  • Ensure all projects are archived correctly when completed.
  • Where appropriate, assist creatives with meeting preparation/research.
  • Basic editing of clips for use both on air and within basic trails if required.
  • Assist with chasing, ingesting and internal management of assets both digital and physical.
  • Assist in production and conversion of material for external media.
  • Assist in prep work for pitches to internal/external clients.
  • Help familiarize freelancers and new starters with workflows and basic technical queries.
  • Key liaison point between UK and the rest of the cluster, fielding all enquiries and requests and ensuring material is delivered on time and in the correct format for each territory.
  • Assist and run on shoots where appropriate.
  • Edit and reversion promos for use on alternative channels from the original delivery destination.
  • Direct VO artists with confidence and clarity.
  • Embrace the ‘One ViacomCBS’ approach and encourage collaboration and team working.
  • Be an ambassador for all VCNI channels, internally and externally.
  • Adopt and promote the ViacomCBS values and support a culture of inclusion.

What are we looking for?

  • You are organised and efficient with all your scripts / versions, avoiding unnecessary mistakes which require additional bookings to fix.
  • Ensure the accuracy of information in your work without relying on others to correct mistakes (spelling, version info, compliance notes, restrictions, etc.).
  • Demonstrate a hunger to grow and develop your skills.
  • Take the initiative to learn and improve your existing skills wherever possible.
  • Understand briefs and respond with thought-through creative.
  • Self-sufficient in coming up with three strong ideas based on three valid insights per brief.
  • Present your ideas clearly, with good copy / script writing skills.
  • Offer up ideas during brainstorms.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design and are able to source the right references to usefully brief a designer.
  • Understand the big picture of what the brand is doing.
  • Capable of simple edits, occasionally adding extra unexpected flourishes.
  • Make good music suggestions for your edits.
