The Team:

The Creative Team sit within the Ecommerce Team and are responsible for delivering creative content that drives online visibility and engagement for Bluebella to increase sales and brand awareness.

The Role:

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and experienced Copywriter to manage and produce engaging copy for all Bluebella touchpoints, including newsletters, social captions, press releases, campaign headlines, ad copy, and product descriptions.

Sitting within the Ecommerce team and reporting to the Creative Manager, this role plays a key part in supporting the Ecommerce and Brand Team to ensure the Bluebella voice is witty, intelligent, informative, confident, and inclusive.

It’s a fast-paced environment and every day is different, so you need to be able to adapt on the go, be proactive and enjoy working independently within a close knit, supportive team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and produce copy for Bluebella across channels including web, social, press, advertising copy, ecommerce site product descriptions and newsletters, tailoring copy to the appropriate channel.
  • Deliver strong and unique copy maintaining a consistent brand tone of voice throughout.
  • Be the guardian of Bluebella’s tone of voice across all channels, and the wider business.
  • Manage multiple copy requests / projects, ensuring your work is effectively prioritised and copy delivered to deadline.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Team (Creative Manager and Designers) to ensure that copy always complements design and vice versa.
  • Support the business with all types of ad hoc writing.
  • Localise copy based on territory (e.g., US) and assign and manage all copy translations.
  • Work with external agencies to ensure copy best practices across SEO, advertising, UX, and other areas.
  • Pitch content ideas in line with brand marketing activities.

Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent writing and listening skills.
  • Creative thinking and creative flare.
  • Ability to interpret a brief, identify key messages, and effectively communicate them to the audience through engaging and relevant copy. 
  • Proven ability to deliver strong copy on time/ to deadline, whilst maintaining a consistent brand tone of voice throughout.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written English (grammar, spelling etc.) Strong sub-editing and proof-reading skills.
  • Capable of interpreting and applying feedback, quickly and efficiently.
  • Understanding of SEO, and how to use it to enhance copy and rankings.
  • Interested in, and up to date with cultural and social trends across fashion, lifestyle, social media etc.
  • Ability to manage own workload in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
  • Capable of interpreting and applying feedback, quickly and efficiently.
  • A team player and communicator with a positive working attitude.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently, within a small, supportive team.
  • Experience in a copywriting role, preferably within ecommerce fashion or lifestyle brand.
