Taylor & Francis Group produces high quality, peer reviewed books and journals. We produce unique, trusted content by expert authors, spreading knowledge and promoting discovery globally. We aim to broaden thinking and advance understanding, providing academics and professionals with a platform to share ideas and realize their individual potential.

Routledge, a leading international academic publisher, part of Taylor & Francis Group, has an exciting opportunity for an Editor to join our Mental Health team, responsible for managing and continuing to grow areas within our world-leading psychoanalysis books programme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and continuing to grow several areas within our professional and academic psychoanalysis list, working alongside other editors in the team. The editor will develop a strong commercial strategy for the programme in line with Routledge’s overall objectives, will grow the book offerings in their key subject areas, and will be aware of competitor strengths and weaknesses to take advantage of opportunities in the market.

The role will involve close liaison with editorial colleagues within the Mental Health list, with other editorial teams, with series editors and book authors, and journals, marketing, production, rights and sales colleagues. Attendance at virtual and in-person events may be required, depending on the demands of the list and as public health conditions permit. In some instances attendance may involve international travel.

  • Highly organised and capable of juggling a high volume of projects;
  • Financial focus and the ability to budget and analyse financial data;
  • Strong ability to prioritise demanding workload under pressure;
  • Strong word processing, spreadsheet, and database skills;
