Based in London, UK, Interior Night was founded in October 2017 by Caroline Marchal, a game designer with over 15 years’ experience on high profile narrative games at Sony and Quantic Dream. Interior Night is dedicated to developing interactive experiences focused on the emotional connection with characters and story to appeal to a broad audience and push the boundaries of what games can be.

Overview

We are looking for a candidate to join an exciting new studio that specialises in narrative games. The role’s primary function is to create high quality staging, blocking and camera work that makes the foundation of a successful shot and/or sequence of shots in the game. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to tell stories that matter and implement them from the heart to a high technical standard.

 

Responsibilities

  • Translation of script breakdown into 3d previz
  • Animating and posing characters interpreted from real life actor footage and intelligently processing it into a previz sequence
  • Staging, blocking and camera work in 3d layout
  • Finessing of cameras to bring out animation and story.
  • Maintaining consistent quality, style and continuity, both visually and technically throughout the project.



Requirements

  • Proven production experience within a team min. 3 years.
  • Accomplished examples of previz and layout.
  • Thorough knowledge of Autodesk Maya is essential.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work interactively with production and other departments to solve production challenges.
  • Strong critical reasoning and emotional awareness within storytelling is essential.
  • Strong understanding of cinematography, with a keen eye for composition
  • Experience with Unity timeline and Cinemachine is a plus.
  • Live Action Experience is a desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to self manage and be challenged creatively with a thoughtful collaboration with the larger team.
