Brand Designer
This job listing has expired JobLAYER is looking for creative, multi-disciplinary Brand Designers, with 1 to 5+ years experience (after internships) to join our rapidly expanding brand team. You will be a part of a highly skilled, driven and social team with an unparalleled understanding of branding and their relationship to physical products. You will become a key member of the team to beautifully combine both 2D and 3D worlds.
LAYER delivers experience-driven design for both the physical and digital worlds - and our branding team is rapidly expanding. Led by Benjamin Hubert and a growing creative team, we are reimagining established global brands and working with start-ups to create exciting new brands. Our branding team is pivotal in the studio’s growth and will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop compelling brand narratives.
The successful candidate(s) will have a number of impactful brand identity projects under their belt. You will not only demonstrate a wonderful resolution of craft, but also strong storytelling and narrative behind your design decisions. You understand and are inspired by strategy and the pursuit of the ‘why’, not just great visuals.
You are experienced with the craft of brand marks, typography, colour, layout, and imagery and know how to bring these elements together to embody a brand’s personality and foundations. Excellent use of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator are required. Experience with After Effects and Premiere Pro would be advantageous.

This is a highly collaborative role, based on site in our London studio. We are not currently accepting applications for remote working but are considering international applicants who are willing to relocate. Fluency in English is a prerequisite - other languages are beneficial. Please note, this position is a studio-based role in London (not remote).
The applicant should have:
- Experience in both rebranding established brands and developing compelling new brands for start-ups.
- Strategic thinker and able to work across a number of different sectors and brand types, from FMCG and smaller electronics, to furniture, homewares, and auto.
- Excellent use of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Experience with After Effects and Premiere Pro would be advantageous.
- Efficient with time and prepared to join an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Willing to contribute to a culture of collaboration, share skills across teams, and work well as part of a diverse team.
