We are seeking experienced freelance audio studio managers, audio editors and audio sound designers to be part of a pool providing services for BBC Studios Audio.

BBC Studios Audio is an exciting, growing commercial audio production company that specialises in making comedy and entertainment programmes. We make about 150 hours of radio and audio content a year, mainly for BBC Radio 4 but also BBC Sounds and increasingly commercial commissioners, including Spotify. We produce long-running and much loved titles such as The News Quiz, The Now Show, I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue and Just a Minute, alongside newer shows like Sarah Keyworth’s Are You a Girl or a Boy, The Damien Slash Mixtape and Daliso Chaponda's Citizen of Nowhere.

Podcast-wise we produce Rose and Rosie: Parental Guidance and Sorted with the Dyers for Spotify, Eddie Hearn: No Passion No Point for 5Live, Susan Calman's Mrs Brightside for Acast, Jacob Hawley: On Drugs and Inside No 9 (the companion podcast for the TV programme) for BBC Sounds and But..Where Are You Really From for Asian Network, with various others under commission or in development.

We make all types of formats that include sitcom, sketch, panel, chat, drama and stand-up. Some shows have complex recording and editing requirements with large casts, sound effects and music, others are simpler and just require high quality recording of a single voice with or without an audience.
