About the Role:

The ideal candidate must understand and be able to digitally translate Origins, a premier prestige global beauty brand. The person must understand best Ecommerce practices across platforms and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Thorough attention to detail and strong communication skills are required. The person also must be highly organized, efficient, able to meet deadlines and work well independently and as an important team member. The person will have a passion for online design and content creation.
 

Description of Key Job Functions:

  • Create beautiful and engaging experiences around unique concepts while working with project manager to ensure the process of moving from design to a fully functional website with interactive features across platforms and devices.

  • Create global Ecommerce assets that maintain brand integrity and elevate the brand online across all online channels: Brand.com, Retailer.com, 3 Party Platforms. Key focus on China and APAC markets specifically TMALL.

  • Understands brand DNA and conveys appropriately to drive the online business needs.

  • Design and concept a wide variety of assets including homepages, landing pages, emails, banners and special projects across platforms.

  • Must be highly knowledgeable in understanding online consumer behavior, the nuances of online functionality / usability and incorporate into designs.

  • Maintain, update and implement the digital design parameters, style guides and visual standards for global rollout.

  • Manage freelancer resources as needed. Works closely and collaboratively with but not limited to Ecommerce, Consumer Engagement, Production, Copy, Product Marketing teams.

  • Collaborate closely with Global online team to ensure that the creative needs are being managed and met.
     

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • A strong aesthetic sense and excellent attention to detail and ability to carry out a concept from start to completion.

  • Design innovative and interactive for marketing, informational and transactional aspects of Estée Lauder across platforms – pc / tablet / mobile.

  • Communicates design goals and messages to creative participants, ensuring integration of design requirements into all phases of design / production.

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to create visual designs based on UX wireframes.

  • Work with front-end developers and producers to prototype and iterate on multiple design solutions.

  • Researches and analyzes industry trends and maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and creative techniques.

  • Interact with both internal and external key stakeholders to build and maintain strong working relationships.
     

Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of: Adobe Creative Cloud; Premiere, After Effects, Sketch and inVision a plus.

  • Knowledge of CMS, JavaScript, CSS protocol preferred.

  • At least 5-8 years of Ecommerce / Online design, concepting & production experience (retail / fashion / beauty experience preferred).

  • Must be well organized, detailed oriented and able to manage multiple projects from start to completion. Previous project launches should include: user interface design, information design, redesigns of existing site templates.

  • Meticulous typography and graphic design skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Experience managing creative resources (3 years).

  • BA or BFA preferred in n Graphic Design.

  • Additional skills: working knowledge ActionScript, JavaScript, and HTML.

  • Preferred fluency in Mandarin.
