Who We are Looking For:

We're seeking a highly creative and experienced copywriter to lead our talented team in crafting compelling narratives for NatWest Group. As a brand champion and expert storyteller, you'll shape the voice of NatWest across all channels, ensuring consistency and impact. You'll lead brainstorming sessions, develop creative strategies and write engaging copy for a variety of marketing materials. Your passion for creative excellence and deep understanding of brand voice and tone will be essential in inspiring and leading the team to produce high-quality work that resonates with target audiences and drives business results.

The ideal candidate will have experience of crafting compelling copy for a variety of channels, including digital, print, social media and video. They will be a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering high-quality work that meets client objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Creative Direction / Development & Concepting.
  • Partnering with Creative Director and Associate Creative/Design Directors to develop and execute creative strategies that elevate the overall quality of copywriting for NatWest Group.
  • Leading brainstorming sessions and contributing innovative ideas for campaigns across all channels.
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the NatWest Group brand voice and tone, ensuring all copy is consistent and on-brand.
  • Writing clear, concise and engaging copy for a variety of marketing materials, including social, email, radio, web, OOH, brochures and video.
  • Collaborating with Art Directors, Designers and other creatives to ensure that copy
    and visuals work together to deliver a cohesive brand message.
  • Presenting creative concepts and copy to clients in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Copywriting Team Leadership Duties.
  • Actively managing and mentoring a team of copywriters, providing clear direction and constructive feedback to ensure high-quality work.
  • Inspiring the team to achieve creative excellence by encouraging experimentation, brainstorming innovative ideas, and celebrating successes.
  • Assigning projects and managing workloads to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Conducting regular 121s and performance reviews and identifying development opportunities for team members.
  • Fostering a collaborative and creative environment within the team.
  • Staying up to date on industry trends and best practices in copywriting.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • A portfolio of work that showcases your exceptional writing skills and experience across a variety of channels and formats.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Copywriter or Associate Creative Director within an agency environment.
  • A deep understanding of brand voice and tone, with the ability to adapt your writing style to different audiences and platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • A passion for creative excellence and a desire to push boundaries in copywriting.
