Job Title: Account Director

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Reporting Line: Managing Director

Location: Watford area

Agenda Creative is delighted to be working with one of our well respected clients across their current Account Director vacancy. Our client is an instinctive advertising agency who pride themselves on advertising effectiveness with the correct blend of strategy, media, digital and creative. Our client is seeking a highly enthusiastic and passionate Account Director to join their ever growing team.

THE ROLE: Account Director

  • Shaping and understanding client objectives – making appropriate recommendations to achieve them
  • Offering strategic advice on projects and campaigns
  • Understanding the importance of a client brand
  • Building excellent working relationships with clients and colleagues alike
  • People management
  • Adhering to company processes
  • Identifying “unspoken” client requirements
  • Proposal writing
  • Creating and delivering presentations
  • Presenting market information to the client where appropriate
  • Presenting campaign results, evaluation of ROI and recommendations
  • Be an ambassador for the company with a positive attitude


  • Strong business development skills (such as: finding new opportunities within existing clients as well as joining the pitch team and working on new client opportunities)
  • Excellent industry knowledge and current thinking
  • Strong understanding of all advertising related disciplines
  • Client facing at director level
  • Strong rapport building skills
  • People management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of clients’: products/services, industries, target audience and competitors
  • Understanding of profiling and audience targeting
  • Strong evaluation of creative approach against brief
  • Financial management and accountability
  • Focus on account growth, maximising client revenue streams and supporting new business where needed
  • The ability to make and take decisions
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Dependable, respectful and patient
