As a 3D Artist at Facebook AI Research (FAIR), you will work with world-class scientists and engineers towards advancing the state-of-the-art in artificial intelligence and more particularly automated understanding and capture of humans and animals in the wild. You will craft a collection of creature models and associated assets to be used in cutting-edge research, technology demos, and proof of concept prototypes with the goal of being eventually open to the community.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Model humans, pets, wild animals and other 3D assets.

  • Rig and animate characters.

  • Create and edit demo videos of animations and environment fly-throughs.
     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Communication skills and experience working in a highly collaborative, ambiguous environment.

  • Knowledge of 3D modeling tools such as Maya, Blender, Houdini, Cinema4D, Rhino, etc.

  • Experience designing realistic or plausible creature animations.

  • Experience with Unity 3D or Unreal.

  • Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of work experience in a design or related design field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in animal anatomy.
