We are looking for a 3D Art Lead like you to inspire and guide a team of artists in delivering virtual assets of unrivaled visual quality. This role will report to our Studio Art Line Director, based in our studio in Los Angeles, California. We are considering on-site and hybrid working options, and welcome full-time remote candidates within the US or Canada to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Lead artists in creating best-in-class 3D assets ranging from large buildings to small environmental props.
- Drive the creation of benchmark 3D assets.
- Conduct frequent asset reviews with the artists to ensure our quality bar is being met and our work is completed on time.
- Partner with the 3D Content Director to document and communicate pipeline enhancements and best practices to ensure asset cohesion across the art team.
- Work closely with the World Art Director to drive and execute the AD’s vision of the project.
- Collaborate with the Art Line to improve the team’s abilities through mentorship of skills, process, and artistic techniques.
Skills We Look For:
- Excellent technical ability with a thorough understanding of modeling, lighting and surfacing
- Expert knowledge of Maya or similar 3D modeling software in addition to possessing strong sculpting skills and knowledge of ZBrush
- Expert knowledge of PBR texture & material pipelines
- Experience with photogrammetry
- Passion for collaboration with other artists and a desire to mentor younger talent
- Strong communication skills and a detailed approach to organization

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range for your specific location.
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity."
