About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to apply for a graphic designer position hoping to join your team at Pringle of Scotland.

I am a graphic designer who has just completed a MA on the brand new course focused on language and typography in LCC — University of the Arts London — Contemporary Typographic Media.

I'm graduated from the Fine Arts Faculty of the University of Lisbon in Communication Design; considered the oldest and most prestigious design course in Portugal. Additionally, I studied at the Nottingham Trent University on an Erasmus programme scholarship.

After graduating, I worked for different agencies during the last years and also as freelancer, which allowed me to acquire experience of working in a professional context and also the opportunity to work with a different range of clients.

I started my professional experience with a traineeship at RMAC Brand Design (member of the BBDO Worldwide Network). This agency, winner of several prizes and a reference in the area both in Portugal and internationally, enabled me to learn and to get a first approach into the practical and commercial view of graphic design. Here I could work with clients, such as Microsoft, FNAC and also major Portuguese corporations such as Edp, Galp, Altis Hotels, Delta, Ascendi, and Porto Editora.

Afterwards I worked for a design studio, ZINC, Publicidade & Comunicação, where I kept working for major international and Portuguese clients such as Vodafone, IFDR, Jerónimo Martins, Opensoft, DGITA, Diário Económico and Doctors of the World.

I have always tried to develop my practice and competences with a special emphasis on fields/disciplines that interest me the most such as typography, branding, publishing and the relationship between the print medium and digital media.

Personally, I consider myself a sociable person, organized and with a keen sense of a team mentality with the ability to adapt to different and multicultural environments and interpersonal relationship.
