About me
I am a multimedia journalist and communications professional with over 24 years of experience in education, training, international development, strategic communications, media and public relations. My clients include the European Union, government agencies, UN agencies, embassies and also the private sector.
Working as an internal and external communications trainer, I have experience in Japan, Kenya, Tanzania and the UK. In 2004 I trained as a broadcast journalist and worked for ITV News and the BBC in the UK where I produced broadcast quality radio, TV and also directed live news in a gallery.
I am currently based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania where I design and lead various media, marketing and communication campaigns and develop communications strategies for clients. I build strong relationships with national and international media as they are integral to the event management work that I do. I enjoy working with designers to develop brand Identities.
I have also been extensively involved in capacity building workshops to improve the relationship between the media and government for the International Labour Organization and the Government of Tanzania. Having worked internationally since 1996 I am sensitive to cross-cultural audiences and their specific requirements.
