Pitch 100 Superwoman: Eva O'Reilly

Published by

Next up on our Pitch 100 Superwomen list, it’s Eva O'Reilly, PA, London.

Eva, congratulations on being named as one of Pitch Magazine’s 100 Superwomen!

We’d love to get to know you a little better…Firstly, please could tell us a bit about yourself and your role at JKR

When did you join the agency?

Just over 4 and a half years ago.

How would you describe your job?

Fast paced, fun, challenging and unpredicable at times but always rewarding.

What does a typical working day look like?

I love that no two days are the same. Amongst all the scheduling and rescheduling, I am privileged to be able to work with so many people across the studio. Essentially, it’s about doing my utmost to make sure that everyone’s days run as smoothly as possible, particularly those of James (Managing Director), Jonny (Managing Partner) and Chris (Global Strategy Director).

Tell us about a time when you felt totally unstoppable at work?

Being involved in organising the annual global summit is always a challenge. However, for me it’s often about the smaller day to day wins. Whether it’s getting Chris on the back of a motorbike so he can weave through the heavy traffic and make his meeting on the opposite side of town (!) or simply pulling together an itinerary to ensure James can get to a super last minute client presentation across the pond.

Why do we need to champion more epic Superwomen in the creative industry?

I think that it is so important to highlight talented women in all industries, regardless of whether they are male-dominated or not. The more we are able to shine a spotlight on women who are at the top of their game, the more examples there will be to inspire the next generation.

For me, these awards are a beautiful opportunity to encourage more of an ‘if she can do it, I can do it too’ attitude.

What was your reaction to being named a Superwomen?

It came as a complete surprise! I felt really touched and proud to be representing JKR London.

Who was the first person you told?

The lovely HR pod to which I am happy to be an honouree member!

If you could nominate the next JKR Superwoman, who would you choose and why?

I feel incredibly lucky to have the support from my fellow PAs who are all so accomplished and talented in their own right. I would also love to shout out the globetrotting force that is Annie Marsh. Her resilience, work ethic and shoe collection is a daily inspiration!
