ABOUT
Cottontail Crash started out as a project to learn how to develop tile-locked games in Unreal, meant to mimic a 90s-era handheld game. Eventually, I decided to turn it into a full game, and I worked on a workflow that would allow me to quickly draw stages and have the tiles generate automatically, avoiding the need to hand-place each junction. Unreal does not come with this feature, so I used a mix of tools and plugins to automate as much as possible.
After a period of testing different types of gameplay, I settled on a swipe-to-move game where you hoard coins.
Cottontail Crash is free on iOS and it can be played on iphones and ipads. I plan to work on an android version of the game at some point in the future.
