BACKGROUND
Thailand's LGBTQ+ community has long fought for marriage equality to secure the rights, freedom, and equality they deserve.
While marriage equality has now passed through the legislative process, after a 20-year struggle, they still face a 120-day wait for the law to be fully enforced.
Bar B Q Plaza, a family-style barbecue restaurant, aims to make that 120-day wait feel shorter and let them know the time has come for them to build complete families.

IDEA
We aim to make the 120-day wait disappear, allowing them to experience the moment they’ve been waiting for over the past 20 years.
They will feel the victory they’ve fought for and begin building their complete families starting today.

EXECUTION
We designed a new marriage certificate for everyone, incorporating flowers symbolizing the LGBTQ+ community's struggle as well as flowers representing universal love.
We launched the "Equal Marriage Day 1" event, where everyone could participate in wedding ceremonies and register their marriages together,
celebrating with the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month. The event was held at 148 Bar B Q Plaza branches nationwide,
allowing them to stop waiting and experience a real wedding from today onwards.
