Dear Mr/Ms,

I am very excited about the motion graphics designer position currently available at Kingdom Creative and am writing to apply for this vacancy. Please find my CV accompanying this letter.

I graduated in June 2015 with a MA in Art and Science at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, and am currently seeking a role in 2D/3D motion graphics or visual effects. I have browsed the Kingdom Creative website and am quite interested in the works the group has already done. The motion graphics designer vacancy offers exactly the best opportunity for me to use my experience and knowledge gained from my Bachelor degree in Industrial Design (digital direction) and my Master qualification. I hope my CV present a clear understanding of what I can offer. I have a thorough knowledge of Adobe software — Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and Media Encoder, have used MAYA for almost two years and After Effects for three, and possess much experience combining them to make various 2D & 3D motion graphics and visual effects that are in harmony with the theme and script. I also have extensive knowledge of working with different kinds of footage, file formats and compression.

Devised for my degree show, I directed and edited the video, and worked on all the post-production by designing and producing the animations, effects and composition. My MA course improved my art techniques, encouraged me to study closer the interaction between art and technology — which allowed me to develop my personal interests in the digital world, and helped me build creative team-work relationships with a wide range of artists, designers and scientists.

I am now very keen to learn more and improve my techniques and abilities in a professional context and look forward to the opportunity to be part of Kingdom Creative. I enjoy working with people, am open to criticism benefiting the project development, and am a conscientious, responsible, and motivated person with an ability to remain focused and calm when working on a tight schedule. I truly welcome the chance to work towards becoming one of your motion graphics production team professionals and, believing very much that I can make a real contribution to the company, I hope you might call me in for an interview to give me a chance to discuss my application in further detail.
