Jez's work
About Jez
Jez has worked in marketing and communications since 1995. Today he is Founder and CEO of Happy Days, the insight and knowledge agency that helps brands understand and reach the over-45s, an audience Happy Days calls Gen Free(TM). It is the most valuable audience most brands still overlook. Happy Days exists to change that.
Before Happy Days, Jez spent 20 years with the Havas group, most recently as Managing Partner at Havas Media Group. He was based in Montreal and responsible for content and creativity across North America and globally.
He was one of the first digital and content marketing specialists in the UK, from 1999. As a founder and global head of digital at Cake Group (acquired by Havas in 2010), he pioneered influencer marketing, blogger outreach, viral content, syndication and distribution, advergaming, social listening and experiential work, often before most of it had a name. His award-winning content reached the most engaged influencers on the best-performing channels.
A preacher and practitioner. A searcher and sharer. A thinker, follower and fan. A leader and a do-er. A creative and a coder. A Masters in Business from Edinburgh Napier University. A tri-lingual Scotsman.
