Jessica's work
About Jessica
I am a creative, self-motivated individual, who aspires a career in a social, enthusiastic and
ambitious working environment. I thrive on working across all platforms when given a project and
enjoy getting stuck into new challenges. I'm open-minded and expressive, independent and
observant, and a positive, reputable person.
Most recently, I worked as a Graphic Designer for Lucid Direct. I am very confident in using Adobe
Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, as well as Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. I gained
experience developing my skills in responding successfully to a clients needs and translating their
complex ideas into clear, functional graphics displays, for both print and digital. I am a well
organised individual and enjoy creating new ideas.
Outside of education, I have gained five years experience working in retail, at Waitrose, and
worked across each section in two different stores. This developed strong interpersonal,
communication skills and my capacity to deal with multiple demands on my time and resources. I
would often deal with the needs of the customer, on both the shop floor and in the office. I have
both the stamina and the organisational ability to thrive in these circumstances and feel sure that
the skills I learned will be an assets to a busy, studio environment.
The reason I embarked upon my degree course is because I have a love of learning. I would very
much welcome the opportunity of an interview to explain how I can combine my enthusiasm for
design for the benefit of the company and its clients.
