About me
To whom it may concern,
I am a print/womenswear designer currently looking for my next big challenge within the fashion industry. I have previously enjoyed various work opportunities and internships that have allowed me to explore my own skills within garment and textile design.
To date I have enjoyed experience in a wide range of sectors within the fashion/textile industry, from the catwalks to the high-street, and believe myself to be a commercially minded, yet forward thinking designer.
I have recently been in a role that exposed me to designing for the high street; where I was involved in the design process from idea conception, fabric and trim selection, print preparation, drawing up specs, fit meetings and various production tasks.
In the past year I have also worked with a successful supplier to the high-street, where I was designing for a range of product areas, but generally focusing on prints/shapes for casual jersey product. I was also involved in meeting buyers, trend/shape/print research and putting together design packs for both production and to show buyers.
Moving forward I am looking to focus my career towards print design.
In 2010 I showcased my work at a number of fashion shows including Graduate Fashion Week where I was nominated for the Zandra Rhodes catwalk textiles award for the print work in my womenswear collection. The designs I create within my own practice are youthful, energetic and trend-led, whilst always maintaining an element of fun.
I can confidently put together mood/swatch/print boards and enjoy researching trends, both on and off the catwalk.
I am confident in pattern-cutting, illustration and garment construction; I can explore a wide range of printing and dyeing techniques through both traditional and digital mediums. I am also confident using Photoshop and illustrator.
Self motivated, professional and passionate, with great communication skills; I can generate ideas quickly, I am not afraid to be experimental or open-minded in my work. I am enthusiastic and able to work to deadlines.
I would relish the opportunity to show what I can achieve in this industry and feel I would be a valued member of any design team.

I have attached a few examples of my work, I would also be more than happy to send across any other examples of my work you may require.
Many thanks,
