Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for the Content Editor position.
During my time studying BSc Photographic Journalism, I continuously strengthened my skills by contributing my expertise in order to gain the practical experience. This has proved to be more than a valuable experience as it has exercised some of the educational theory of social media I have learned throughout my degree.
In my final year of University, as a year group we organized a Photographic Exhibition at the Leeds Corn Exchange titled 'Project 44'; which gained wide coverage with its attendees being BBC Yorkshire and the Lord Mayor. It was here that I was given a chance to further gain experience in my marketing/advertising expertise as I was allocated the role of coordinating the Press Release. This role involved gaining contacts in support of our campaign through websites/brands and printed publications by creating emails with HTML, while also formulating a Press Release in promotion for our event.
In my previous employment, I have had to write both offsite and online content including Links, Landing Pages and Infographics for major clients at the UK's leading digital agencies, WMG at their Harrogate office. While also having experience with programs such as Photoshop/Indesign and Illustrator. Most recently, I have been the social media and marketing assistant for Bloop Bubble Tea in Chester. From this, I have found that I have both the stamina and the organisational ability to thrive in these circumstances while also feeling sure that the skills I learned will be a valuable asset to the busy daily duties of this role.
