ABOUT
Creative direction for 'Shoot the Future' campaign with a development prize fund of $20,000 awarded to the most creative UGC pitch.
‘Shoot the Future’, in conjunction with Skype in Media, was launched at the Variety Entertainment & Technology Summit in New York in May 2016. The event featured a live Skype brand activation with Obama impressionist, James Davis.
A judging panel comprising of Ice-T, YesJulz (Queen of Snapchat) and Oliver Butler (Producer of Game of Thrones) weren’t just chosen for their fan base, social media following or influencer status—but also for their diverse experience in media and to lend their industry expertise to the chosen winner in a mentorship capacity.
The overall winner, James Rath, was a partially sighted entrant who uses the viewfinder on his phone to see the world more clearly. His idea involved a short film which would raise awareness for the visually impaired through technology and his prize of $20,000 goes towards the development of his project.
