Coldplay partnered with Skype to create an exclusive set of Mojis – short form content with high quality audio that you can use to express yourself when words or emoticons just aren’t enough.

Each Moji is based on a track from their latest album 'A Head Full of Dreams', exclusively re-worked by the band’s multi Grammy Award-winning producer, Rik Simpson. His bespoke mixes are coupled with new animations based on the original album sleeve artwork. The result is a beautiful set of clips created to add colour to your Skype chats and designed to express a range of feelings and sentiments.

We proposed that we join Coldplay as a fly-on-the-wall whilst they kicked off the creative process in designing this set of Mojis. The aim of this "brainstorm with the band" was to finalise a creative brief for Skype's creative expression team for them to interpret into a set of animations.

We joined Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion in their backstage art room as they went about rising to this challenge. We then collated their original, signed artwork and delivered it back to Skype's animation team – and gave away their best art pieces to three lucky Coldplay fans through Skype's social channels.
