As the anchor to Mixwell’s Please Don’t Buy Mixwell campaign, Freedom tells a story of real American freedom under the guise of 'patriotic' propaganda. What starts out as a traditional ad nodding to a time when 'men were men' brings an unexpected twist. As the film follows its main character, double meanings draw viewers in and subvert their expectations to reveal that true American freedom is being able to openly love who you love. Partnering with the International Gay Rodeo Association and casting a real couple helped to ensure authenticity and proper representation.
