ABOUT
Redesigning Marks and Spencer’s Woodfired pizza packaging. Currently their top tier pizzas are contained within a box which gets damaged during transit, hides the product and is not differentiated from their competitors.
The demands involved showing customers the excellent quality of their pizzas, allowing it to be easily assembled in the factory, stand out from the competition, protect the product in transit and include visible tamper evidence.
The final outcome uses flaps which overlap and a simple sticker to seal the packaging ensuring it is tamper proof. Other than the adhesive sticker it uses no glue. The flaps are shaped as flames to reflect the Wood red theme but the cutouts allow for high visibility.
The packaging covers the pizza well enough to prevent it from being damaged in transit. There is a band of information running through the centre of the packaging giving the customer concise information with minimal handling. The description of the pizza is in cloud writing, to emphasise the most important details.
