About me
I designed headstones for a while. Now I design experiences for people to enjoy while they're alive.
As ECD at Critical Mass (Fast Company's Best Workplace for Innovators 2024), I lead teams to unlock transformation for major brands through asking bolder, bigger questions.
I work best when I'm connecting (strategy x creativity x media x spaces) + provoking teams to think beyond the brief and pursue ambitious ideas. Those ideas come to life through work that ranges from next-gen loyalty programs, to festival experiences, to ecosystem-spanning campaigns, to category-defining initiatives (my favorite). For Mars Wrigley, that's meant shifting CRM from transactional to actually relational-- reframing 'customer relationship' as belonging instead of broadcasting. For BMW, it was re-exploring what a website can even be. And at my home agency, it's meant making manifest our vision of creative collaboration by building teams that are integrated by default.
I'm driven by pathological curiosity and a belief that echo chambers beget echo chamber work. So I stay connected to Chicago's underground arts, collaborate with small orgs, and spend time in spaces that push against advertising's selective way of thinking.
Generally listening to Aesop Rock.
